I’m Erin Haskins, owner and NYS licensed home inspector behind ELH Inspections.

Before becoming a home inspector, I spent almost 20 years with the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs in supervisory, data analysis, program analysis, and change management roles. Much of my career was built around evaluating complex information, identifying problems, following established standards, documenting findings, and communicating information clearly. Those same skills now shape the way I approach every home inspection.

My goal is to help you understand what I’m seeing and put those findings into context. I’ll explain what deserves attention, what may be normal maintenance, and what you may want to monitor or learn more about as you move forward.

I approach every inspection as if I were inspecting a home for myself or someone I care about. That means taking my time, looking carefully, and giving you straightforward, objective information without unnecessarily alarming you or minimizing legitimate concerns.

Ultimately, my goal is to give you a clearer understanding of the property so you can make informed decisions with confidence.
